Stern Re was created to satisfy the needs of reinsurance capacity in local markets, given the poor amounts of coverage available due to fixed exchange controls imposed in Venezuela.

Juan Carlos Obregón
President
With 18 years of experience in the Insurance Industry: 5 years at Chubb Seguros (Venezuela), 7 years as Licensed Retail Broker in Venezuela, and 6 years as Director/founder of an Insurance Agency, A&O Asesores Sociedad de Corretaje de Seguros, S.A. (Venezuela).
3 years founder and counselor of A&O Asesores Colombia LTD.
Earning high performance production awards for 2 consecutive years at Chubb Seguros (Venezuela).
Juan is a Systems Engineer graduated in Metropolitan University of
Caracas (UNIMET).
Studied Property, Machinery Breakdown and Marine Insurance at CHUBB School in Warren New Jersey.
In Aviation Underwriting at AAU (Global Aerospace) Somerset, New Jersey USA.
Also has an Aviation and Systems Engineer degree.
Juan holds a commercial Pilot license, and flies his Cessna 210 on weekends.
Juan Speaks Spanish and English. Married with 3 children.
Fernando Scull
Director
Graduated in BSc Insurance and Investment in City University, London, 1999.
ACII Diploma in Insurance.
Worked at Willis London property department for three years, visiting
Lloyds and company market.
President & founder Interglobal Insurance brokers in Caracas 2009 with currently 45 employees.
Married with two children, Fernando is also a boat captain and
enjoys fishing and cruising around La Guaira bank and Los Roques
islands.
Leonel Landaeta
Director
Leonel has been in the insurance market for over 25 years. Graduated from the Instituto Superior de Seguros, Caracas. Manager at Rontarca Prima Willis Caracas for over 15 years.
Founder at Interglobal Brokers and currently and active Director.
Leonel is an avid tennis player, and it’s married with two children.
Guillermo Scull
Director
Has been in the Insurance and Reinsurance sector for 8 years.
Guille has been a member of the Board of Directors of Interglobal
Insurance brokers since 2009.
Holds an Administration Degree and a Marketing Degree, both from UNIMET University in Caracas.
Is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
He is married with one child.
Guillermo is an outstanding golfer and plays the mid-amateur tour in
Venezuela (handicap 0).
Mercedes Mendez
Technical Manager
Mercedes is a graduate of technical Insurance and a lawyer.
She speaks English and Spanish.
Previously worked at Estar Seguros, S. A. for four years as head of marine and aviation Reinsurance department.
